One of my favorite movies used to be "Mean Girls." It brings me great joy to share that one of the actresses from this popular film now calls New York state home. Amanda Seyfried played the role of Karen Smith in "Mean Girls" and has also appeared in other movies such as "Mamma Mia!" According to Biography.com, Seyfried was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, making her an East Coaster. Why did Amanda Seyfried leave California and move to upstate New York? I may be partial, but I firmly believe that New York state is one of the most breathtaking states. I love that residents can explore the excitement of New York City, spend time in the Hudson Valley uncovering its many charms, and escape to upstate New York.Syracuse.com provided information about Seyfried and the reasons behind her move. They explained that Seyfried mentioned to Forbes magazine that she had relocated from California to New York City years ago. Syracuse.com also added that Seyfried later discovered a farmhouse within the Catskills area. They continued to share that she is married and a mother of two and feels that this decision was one of the "best" and "essential" for her mental well-being. Seyfried claims that living in upstate New York offers a sense of balance compared to living in New York City and allows her to spend time with animals, including her dog. She was in the Hudson Valley area while filming "Things Seen & Heard." I can't blame Seyfried for desiring a peaceful life in the Catskills area. We are fortunate to call this area our home.
